关于我们
AirPhoton, LLC. began operations in the Fall of 2012. Our founding members have combined over 50 years of experience in the science and technology of remote sensing and aerosols. We design manufacture and sell rugged nephelometers and aerosol sampling stations. We also offer our experience in the areas of custom instrument design and prototype development, remote sensing algorithm development, satellite data analysis, and training in the use of atmospheric remote sensing products for climate and air quality applications. AirPhoton instruments are currently measuring particulates across 5 continents.

Here’s a moment from last week’s awards event at #LTSF2024. Although we didn’t win, it was a great reminder of how far we’ve come as a team. Oleg and David, our co-founders, have led us from the early days with steady hands and clear vision. Their commitment has built the foundation we continue to grow on today. The recognition at events like this is encouraging, but what really matters is the impact we’ve made and continue to make in science for?Earth Observation. We’re grateful for the journey so far and are looking forward to what’s next. #Leadership #Culture #Science #GRASP

Webinar series are back ?? We will be sharing a new webinar series in September about the results of our latest developments in the areas of in-situ and remote sensing of particulates and trace gases. The first session will be a presentation discussing the retrieval of PM2.5 from our nephelometers in the SPARTAN network. ?? ESA Space Environment Report 2024: A Wake-Up Call on Space Debris ?? The European Space Agency - ESA report reveals a troubling increase in space debris, with over 35,000 objects tracked in orbit and an estimated 130 million debris objects ranging from 1 mm to 1 cm [1] . To tackle this, our ADLER-2 cubesat, in orbit for 15 months now, has significantly enhanced our detection capabilities for tiny debris, contributing to a better statistical model. ?????? ?????????? ???????? ?????? ????????????: ?? Record Launches: 2023 saw the highest number of satellite launches ever. ??? Collision Avoidance: Active satellites are increasingly performing collision avoidance maneuvers. ???? We are pleased to announce GRASP-Earth’s participation in the #LUMINOUS (LInking in-sitU and reMote sensINg pOlarimetric techniqUeS) campaign ??? The overall objective of the campaign is to achieve a better understanding of #aerosol properties relevant to #climatechange. The campaign is organised by Switzerland’s PSI Paul Scherrer Institut in collaboration with Spain’s Universidad de Granada.?Specific goals are to design a strategy for ground in-situ polarimetric observations in support of and linking them to ground and satellite remote sensing of aerosols. GRASP-Earth’s AirPhoton instruments will be deployed both in the city of Granada and at the nearby AGORA observatory. PSI Paul Scherrer Institut will be deploying two of our new IMAP instruments which measure particulate properties including polarization at ground level, as well as one of our integrating nephelometers and a filter sampling station to measure particulates that will follow the SPARTAN-network protocol - www.spartan-network.org -. The campaign is supported by: ? ATMO-ACCESS TNA programme - ACTRIS-RI. ? Swiss National Science Foundation SNSF - via the project BISAR (Polarimetry to bridge the gap between in-situ and remote sensing observations of atmospheric aerosols). ? ATMO-ACCESS (grant agreement No 101008004) ? ACTRIS-RI Espa?a (RED2022-134824-E) ? Ministry of Science and Innovation of Spain - projects ELPIS and NUCLEUS. ? Universidad de Granada - Plan Propio through Singular Laboratory (LS2022-1) program. Photo: First IMAP operations in AGORA Observatory, Universidad de Granada ?? Stay tuned for upcoming news on the campaign ?? ?#IMAP #GRASP #PSI #UniversityOfGranada #AirQuality #scientificresearch #EnvironmentalScience #polarimetricobservatios #aerosols #remotesensing #earthobservation

AirPhoton will be at the AGU meeting next week. Our booth number is 944. Come learn about our new instruments and our very exciting news (with GRASP Earth and Space) about a greenhouse gas satellite payload we will be building for launch in 2025. You can just stop by our booth to chat and learn more or if you would like you can make an appointment here https://lnkd.in/eSNUA2VE for a discussion or to set up a demonstration or GRASP

Why do I work in environmental science? How did AirPhoton come to be and what are our plans now that we are the U.S. subsidiary GRASP-SAS? What is our perspective on climate change and how do we plan to play a role? I had an opportunity to talk about these and more when I was interviewed for the "Think Green, Think Tech" podcast by Nancy Amert. The podcast is a regular feature on the Win, Win, Women network. The episode is called "Taking Care of the Earth" and you can find it here: https://lnkd.in/eW6ku45b Thank you so much Nancy for the opportunity to speak with you!
