AirMyne is on a mission to remove millions of tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, and we’re building a next-generation Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology to do just that. Today, we’re excited to finally share more about our team and technology with the world. We’re also excited to announce that we’ve raised $6.9M in seed funding with support from Y Combinator, Alumni Ventures, Liquid 2 Ventures, Impact Science Ventures, Collaborative Fund, Another Brain, Wayfinder, Emles Advisors, Soma Capital & a global network of angel investors, including Justin Hamilton. Since our launch in May 2022, we've been hard at work building low-cost DAC systems, which are now capturing kgs/day and are protected by 3 patents. We've also been building trusted relationships with our partners. Earlier this year, we delivered canisters of CO2 to CarbonBuilt & Rubi Laboratories, and deepened our discussions with a sequestration partner in the San Joaquin Delta region. We are proud to partner with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), having been selected for two Regional DAC Hub projects, including the Red Rocks DAC Hub led by Fervo Energy, & the CALDAC Hub led by the University of California, Berkeley. Scaling high-quality carbon removal through Direct Air Capture.
关于我们
Averting the worst impacts of climate change will require rapid decarbonization in this decade, and removing billions of tons of existing atmospheric CO2 in the decades to come. AirMyne is a next-generation Direct Air Capture company building a technology that removes CO2 from the air. We've engineered our process to integrate with various renewable energy sources, including geothermal and waste heat generated through heavy industry, and only use system inputs that are low-cost and easy to source. Founded by deep tech industry veterans via Y Combinator in 2022, we're now scaling high-quality carbon removal. Join us!

?? Thank you to Plug and Play Tech Center for having us at their Silicon Valley November Summit! Our COO Mark Cyffka had a blast presenting AirMyne and sharing our approach of using refinery-scale thinking to engineer Direct Air Capture systems. At AirMyne, that means: 1?? Continuous process for best economics 2?? Pipes & pumps for low-cost materials flow 3?? Zero-risk materials with global supply chains 4?? Opportunistic energy sourcing for best OPEX ?? Last week the AirMyne team partnered with Community Resources for Science to teach students about carbon removal! Fourth and fifth grade students at Rosa Parks Elementary used safe chemical reactions to generate and trap CO2 in a balloon. Our team then used a different chemical reaction to re-capture CO2 from the balloon, showing students how chemistry can be used to pull CO2 out of the air and prevent it from accumulating in the atmosphere. We're always looking for opportunities to engage with our local community - especially the next generation of climate warriors! ??

We're feeling supercharged after a week of climate & CDR events, including Verge 2024 & Carbon Unbound West Coast! A special thank you to Carbon Unbound for highlighting AirMyne as a DAC startup to watch. Our COO Mark Cyffka had a blast presenting AirMyne's patented liquid + low temperature DAC technology on stage. It's been amazing to watch the carbon removal space continue to grow - onwards! ??

We're excited to announce that AirMyne has been selected for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)'s CarbonSAFE Phase II FOA, alongside the University of Utah and our geothermal partner, Fervo Energy! Through this grant, AirMyne, the University of Utah & Fervo will establish the feasibility of sequestration at Fervo's Red Rock Direct Air Capture hub project, providing vital site assessment data for the development of a potential commercial-scale CO2 geologic storage complex in the Basin and Range province of southwestern Utah. ??
