Transporting relief workers and emergency supplies to disasters and humanitarian crises around the globe.

关于我们

Airlink is a global humanitarian organization delivering critical aid to communities in crisis by providing free airlift and logistical solutions to nonprofit partners, changing the way the humanitarian community responds to disasters around the world. Airlink's network includes more than 200 aid organizations and nearly 50 air carrier and logistics partners worldwide. Its first mission was the response to the Haiti earthquake in 2010. Since its inception, Airlink’s airline partners have provided over 11,000 flights for relief workers and transported nearly 12,000,000 pounds of humanitarian cargo, saving nonprofits nearly $33 million in air transport costs and directly helping at least 46 million people. This is made possible through the expertise of Airlink's team, in-kind airlift from commercial airlines, and donations from organizations and individuals within the aviation sector and beyond.

On #WorldWaterDay Airlink is proud to support the programs of our partners like Engineers Without Borders USA offering programs addressing water scarcity. The United Nations estimates that people who are not able to drink clean water get sick up to seven times more often than those who have access to clean drinking water. With help from American Airlines and United Airlines, Airlink provided flights for the EWB team to travel to the Peruvian village of Vista Alegre to build a new water system as the village did not have sufficiently clean drinking water. Typically, before a water system is installed by EWB for a village of this size, a village member would be hospitalized monthly for intestinal-related sicknesses. After EWB's water systems are installed, there are typically no intestinal-related sicknesses in the village. "By providing the airfare, which is a significant part of our project costs, Airlink allows us to serve more villages and provide clean drinking water for many more of the people in the Amazon region of Peru," says Chuck Corley, Engineers Without Borders, Sonoma County Professional Chapter. Your donation of $15 monthly through Airlink can keep clean water flowing to communities globally: https://lnkd.in/e4-pEw56

Spending time with our airline partners on the tarmac?(United Airlines) 4. Visits from partners at our Washington, D.C. HQ (The Salvation Army)?? 5. Group photos of disaster responders with awesome flight crews (Taskforce Kiwi)?? 6. Gathering partners in one place at Airlink's Logistics Preparedness Workshops (Barbados, 2024)?? ? And much more that we're grateful for.?

I was honored to be invited to speak among friends, partners, and supporters at the Airbus Freighter Forum opening night. For 15 years, Airlink, Inc.’s success has been possible due in large part to the generous support of air carriers, aviation companies, and aviation industry leaders. This year, over 300 million people will need humanitarian assistance. Conflict, COVID, and extreme weather continue to be driving factors, and our collective action across the humanitarian sector is now more important than ever. Airlink stands ready to respond where and when needed. We respond across the United States and many countries worldwide. Our model is unique. The work?we do and the needs we fulfill aren't complicated. We deliver nutritional meals to kids, transport?doctors and nurses, ship medicine and medical supplies to hospitals, and help move supplies that help families rebuild their lives. Thank you to all involved...and a special thank you to Robin Hayes (Airbus) and the Airbus team for a great evening and for the support they provide.

Today we remember the devastating impacts of two #cyclones, both taking place in March and occurring ten years apart in different parts of the world. In 2015, Airlink responded to Cyclone Pam, which struck Vanuatu as a destructive category 5 cyclone on March 6. Thousands of people were impacted across Vanuatu's six provinces. With support from United Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines, Airlink moved large-scale water purification units to the archipelago for Waves For Water, helping more than 30,000 people gain access to clean water. In 2023, Cyclone Freddy ended on March 14 after lasting a total of 36 days making it the longest-lasting tropical cyclone worldwide. Having impacted Madagascar, Malawi, and Mozambique, hundreds of thousands of people were displaced and cholera outbreaks became a major concern. Airlink also similarly supported WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene) needs by getting the IsraAID team to Malawi to launch cholera prevention programs. Although March is generally not considered peak cyclone season in most parts of the world, these two cyclones were both record-breaking and resulted in extensive damages. Your $15 monthly donation in support of #15YearsOfAirlink ensures we are ready to respond to severe weather occurrences no matter the time of year https://lnkd.in/dy8kFfS

This week—five years ago—the World Health Organization declared #COVID19 a global pandemic. This response would mark two major milestones for Airlink as: our first global program following the Ebola response in 2014, as well as the first air freight response in the U.S. Responding to the pandemic would bring about many more “firsts,” including welcoming on board a number of new Airlink partners like the The Salvation Army. In May 2020, we partnered to fly 150,000 masks to New York City's JFK airport from Guanazhou, China. The masks were distributed amongst Salvation Army frontline personnel ensuring staff and volunteers could continue to deliver food, shelter, and emotional and spiritual assistance to vulnerable communities. In total, Airlink reached 17.9 million people with healthcare services and supplies during the pandemic through partnerships and shipments like this one. Learn more and consider supporting vital health care systems strengthening worldwide with a $15 monthly gift as we look back on #15YearsOfAirlink. https://lnkd.in/eTJaWV2z
