Senior Master Sgt. Jeremy Scoles, the 507th Air Refueling Wing’s first sergeant, was presented the Order of the Diamond during a ceremony celebrating his retirement from service in the Air Force Reserve held at the 507th Air Refueling Wing on Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, November 16. “The Order of the Diamond is a recognition process within the first sergeant community to distinguish a diamond among diamonds,” said Chief Master Sgt. Keeping it in the family – A pilot and boom operator. Senior Airman Kolby Spurlock, a boom operator assigned to the 63rd Air Refueling Squadron, MacDill Air Force Base, Florida, refuels a U.S. Navy F-18 Super Hornet near Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, during Exercise Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2024, July 13. Spurlock supported his uncle, Maj. Josh Hansen, the pilot of the KC-135 Stratotanker assigned to the same unit during the RIMPAC exercise. “It’s pretty cool for both of us to fly together – being able to hear him on the radio and communicate with him while refueling,” said Hansen. Inspiring the next generation - The 32nd Air Refueling Squadron brought several Air Force specialty codes from around Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., to the Air Force ROTC detachment 755, San Juan, Puerto Rico, over Veterans Day weekend, Nov. 8th-11th, 2024.
