I’m thrilled to share two major milestones in my academic and professional journey! This week, I officially started my role as a Communications & Digital Media Intern with Airen Washington Creative LLC a marketing agency dedicated to elevating brands that drive social impact and community development. I’m excited to work at the intersection of AI, storytelling, and digital strategy, honing my skills in content creation, brand communication, and digital engagement while contributing to impactful campaigns. Thank you, Airen Washington, for believing in me, and for your support. I’m grateful for this opportunity to grow as a communicator and collaborate with a team that values innovation and authenticity! I’m also honored to have been accepted into the DIS - Study Abroad Copenhagen for the fall 2025 semester, where I will expand my strategic communication studies while immersing myself in Danish culture. This experience will allow me to broaden my global perspective, gain hands-on experience in international media strategies, and develop a deeper understanding of how communication shapes diverse societies. I look forward to learning from industry experts, stepping into a new cultural environment, and bringing a global lens to my work in communications. Our projects are financed by a power purchase agreement (PPA) to generate renewable energy and revenue that changes lives. We remain steadfast to our mission, which has no boundaries, no politics, and no bias. Volt and its corporate partners contribute a portion of the revenue produced by their solar projects to support the Sharing the Power Foundation established by Volt, which supports organizations that provide services to underserved and historically marginalized and energy-burdened communities that need access to clean energy and workforce training for careers in renewable energy.

I had to ask ChatGPT how to say 2024 as a word; made my own recap of the year because I'm not keen on sharing my data with another platform. Plus, I find it hard to trust your numbers without screenshots or charts. As a neurodivergent creator, I know these highlights would not have been possible without Kaiwan Bilal, Stephanie Djadja, Shawn Gregoire, and Justin Becker Spear (Airen Washington Creative LLC intern). This year's goal was to highlight the impactful work benefiting Black and Brown people, specifically in energy and finance. My advice: Don't stress over accolades or superficial recognition—they're just vanity metrics that rarely translate to real impact, money well spent, or earned. This week, we’re looking at Airen Washington in our #cleanenergy spotlight. Airen is the Communications Consultant at Volt Energy Utility Energy Utility. Airen knew she wanted to get involved in clean energy since she began understanding its ties to equity and environmental justice, particularly for communities of color.
