AiRANACULUS approach combines statistical signal processing with RF machine learning to identify and classify Primary, Secondary, and Urgent Users within the valuable RF spectrum. With over 20 years of experience in the Research and Development (R&D) of wireless communication systems at Samsung Networks, Dr. Kang brings a wealth of expertise. His contributions to wireless modem and air interface algorithm design encompass areas such as modulation, demodulation, channel coding (FEC), RACH detection, MIMO detection, link adaptation, multi-user MIMO (MU-MIMO) scheduling, and QoS scheduling. He has led teams in the development of wireless modems and air interface algorithms for technologies including GSM, WiMAX, and 5GNR. AiRANACULUS has been awarded an expanded NASA contract for advanced space communications system. Under the expanded (Phase II-E) contract, AiRANACULUS is developing a first-of-its-kind Intelligent Network Slicing and Policy-based Routing Engine solution (INSPIRE) to manage diverse traffic across shared satellite networks. The project leverages Network Slicing features in 5G networks to logically partition and securely manage multiple application services. In addition, INSPIRE will enable new levels of policy control. Given the long transmission distances for moon and interplanetary satellite missions, communication functions and operations currently must be planned well in advance.?
