关于我们
Quality emergency care doesn’t begin in the hospital emergency room – it begins at the scene of the accident or the moment a life-threatening illness strikes. Air Methods has a talented workforce of over 4,500 team members, which includes the best in the air medical industry. We are pilots, clinicians, mechanics, air communications specialists, support teams and many more. We’re ready to answer the call because we know someone’s life is on the line. We dedicate ourselves around the clock to maintain equipment and supplies, coordinate logistics and relentlessly provide the tools and expertise that allow us to give more tomorrows. From the front lines to the phone lines, we believe our status as the industry leader – and the importance we place on our mission statement and core values – allow us to attract the highest level of talented professionals. More than 20% of our team members are U.S. veterans, active duty or in the reserves. Our comprehensive aviation, clinical and maintenance training is as robust as it is intense. And our continuous curriculum of learning and simulation-based training is unmatched in the industry. We are ready to save lives at every moment of every day, with over 300 bases of operations serving 48 states. In rural communities, that kind of reach of care is crucial. Emergency air medical transport and treatment is often the only access to lifesaving emergency care they have – providing access to millions of people who otherwise would not have been able to make it to a trauma center. We also operate eight maintenance centers of excellence throughout the nation and a national communications center. Although we call Greenwood Village, Colorado, home, we are only a call away.

Our hearts are heavy as we extend our deepest condolences to the UMMC AirCare program and the entire air medical community. While this is not an Air Methods program, in this close-knit family of first responders, every loss is felt deeply. We stand with UMMC during this difficult time, remembering the dedication and sacrifice of those who serve others in their most critical moments.

As we wrap up Women of Aviation Worldwide Week, we shine the spotlight on Erica Angel. For the last 15 years, Erica has been soaring through the skies, building an impressive career as a pilot. Originally from San Juan Capistrano, CA, it was a conversation with her mother that set her on a path to flying. In 2010, she began as a flight instructor in Fresno, CA, and later moved to Las Vegas to give Grand Canyon tours. In 2018, she joined Air Methods as a HEMS pilot and has since flown for Tri-State CareFlight 6, Mercy Air 24, and Med Center 1. Now, she’s preparing to relocate to our newly opened base - Native Air 23 in Goodyear, AZ - where she’ll continue her lifesaving work. With over 4,000 flight hours, Erica values the satisfaction of doing her job and staying safe, cherishing the inherent value of women in the aviation industry. ???? #WomenInAviation2025 #AirMethods #WomenOfAviationWorldwideWeek #TheDifferenceWeMake #AboveAndBeyond

Growing up in a family deeply connected to aviation, it was no surprise when Lena Kilbourn found her career path in aviation. While the rest of her family focused on flying or aircraft design, Lena took a different route, dedicating herself to aviation maintenance. Since joining Air Methods in 2008, Lena has found her passion as a regional relief mechanic, ensuring safe, well-maintained aircraft. Currently based in Spokane, WA, she’s excited to see more women entering the industry and remains dedicated to her work, whether in the field or the office. Her proudest achievement? “Even after 16 years, the sight of one of my helicopters lifting brings me so much joy,” she said. “That tells me I’m doing the right thing.” ???? #WomenInAviation2025 #AirMethods #WomenOfAviationWorldwideWeek #TheDifferenceWeMake #AboveAndBeyond

We are thrilled to spotlight Diane Dollar, who joined Air Methods two years ago after facing a crossroads in her career. Diane, a dedicated HEMS pilot, found a new home with Air Methods' training department as a check airman for the EC130 and AS350 airframes. Her passion for mentorship, evident through her nonprofit Forever On The Fly, shone brightly as she embraced her role. Recently promoted to Maintenance Support Pilot Supervisor, Diane now plays a vital role in our Maintenance Support Pilot program, overseeing scheduling, ferrying aircraft, and ensuring smooth operations. We are proud to have her helping to shape the future of pilot training at Air Methods. ???? #WomenInAviation2025 #AirMethods #WomenOfAviationWorldwideWeek #TheDifferenceWeMake #AboveAndBeyond

As part of the celebration to recognize the achievements and improvements made by women in the industry, we want to highlight a few of our own who have made a significant impact, beginning with Assistant Chief Pilot (ACP) Elizabeth Peebles. From flying fixed-wing aircraft as a hobby to becoming Air Methods’ first female ACP, Elizabeth Peebles' career is remarkable. Starting in 2003 flying Cessna 172s, she transitioned to helicopters, setting the stage for an extraordinary journey. Elizabeth began her HEMS career with REACH in Colorado (2018) and joined Air Methods’ Flight for Life in 2019. Her ambition led her to a check airman role, eventually earning her promotion to ACP. With over 7,000 flying hours, Elizabeth was the first female commercial pilot in Abu Dhabi, the first female helicopter captain for Total Oil, and the first female helicopter pilot with Colorado Flight for Life. Now, as Air Methods' first female ACP, Elizabeth continues to break barriers and champion progress in aviation, inspiring future aviators to follow in her footsteps. ???? #WomenInAviation2025 #AirMethods #WomenOfAviationWorldwideWeek #TheDifferenceWeMake #AboveAndBeyond
