?? Raising the bar at the Munitions Lift Rodeo! Yesterday, AFGSC deputy commander Lt. Gen. Michael J. Lutton and key leaders from the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, the Support Equipment and Vehicles Modernization Division of the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, the Aircraft Armament Systems career field, and multiple other Department of the Air Force (DAF) agencies received a demonstration of a robotic arm by RISE Robotics, as part of AFGSC's multi-day Munitions Lift Rodeo at Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana. The demonstration of the munitions handling robotic arm during the Munitions Lift Rodeo is one of many examples of how AFGSC and the entire DAF are leveraging small business contracts to modernize technology and solve current munitions problems by replacing aging technology with modern solutions that are easier to maintain, have more fidelity of control, and are fully electric.
