Mission System Monday! Specialized Electronic Combat Tools & Reprogramming Environment The Specialized Electronic Combat Tools & Reprogramming Environment (SPECTRE) is a software suite of tools that support mission data reprogramming for the F-35, F-22, B-1, and many other platforms. The objective of the team was to upgrade their monolithic application into a web application with a supporting API, and host in a globally accessible environment. To meet those requirements, they are using our hybrid migration to host SPECTRE within Cloud One. To find out more about our production zone, cloud service providers, or migration models, please visit our website here: https://lnkd.in/ef422tf #CloudOne #MissionSystemMigration #MissionSystemMonday

  • Mission System Monday! Defense SBIR/STTR Innovation Portal The Defense SBIR/STTR Innovation Portal (DSIP) is an internet-based application used by the OUSD(R&E), Defense Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Program Office to publish multiple Broad Agency Announcements (BAAs) and Commercial Solutions Openings (CSOs) per year, to collect proposals from domestic small business in response to Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) topics, and with managing data collected on a quarterly and annual basis as required by statute and policy for submission to the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). Approximately 53,000 users are currently registered in DSIP; which includes industry as well as government employees and support contractors who manage the programs within the participating Services and Defense Agencies. "The Defense SBIR/STTR Program Office elected to migrate to Air Force Cloud One to implement a DevSecOps environment for a continuous improvement/continuous development pipeline to allow DSIP developers to enhance and maintain the application to more rapidly address the ever-changing statutory requirements of the programs as well as the needs of the Department. With this migration to Cloud One, we have already seen greater efficiency in the overall performance of the DSIP application and we are seeing cost savings as well." - Susan Celis, Director, SBIR/STTR Program Office. • One of our favorite questions is: "Do I need an Authorization to Operate?" YES! To promote into production, you will provide Cloud One a copy of your completed ATO. Mission System Owners are responsible for accomplishing their ATO through their own authorizing official mission line of support. While Cloud One does not supply, nor does the ATO for you, what we do provide is accreditation inheritance. You'll be able to inherit roughly 30-40% of our RMF controls through eMASS. Be sure that you are always 100% compliant with your ATO. If updates are made, please ensure we have the most up-to-date information. You can now send an email to AFLCMC/HNII C1Trust Liaison: [email protected] and an email response will be provided to assist you. #CloudOne #ATO

  • Mission System Monday! Air Force Test and Analysis Tool If you’ve been a part of the Air Force fuels community for any amount of time, it’s likely that you are at least somewhat familiar with the Air Force Test and Analysis Tool (AFTAT). This system is a customized Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) used by the Air Force Petroleum Office (AFPET) to manage and store analytical quality data related to flight and launch critical products. It is a web-based system used by the Air Force to manage and distribute lab quality data for products used by the DoD. Since its inception in July of 2007, AFTAT has collected data on over 240,000 samples comprised of over 2 million individual tests and results. This data has greatly improved the ability of AFPET to monitor the quality of products and ensure that they meet the high standards required by the Warfighter. The system is currently being used by nearly 800 users with active accounts across the Air Force and DoD. AFTAT enables real-time quality analytical data acquisition and statistical process control for five geographically separated labs, as well as all base-level labs. It provides multidimensional quality metrics, deficiency trend analysis, and electronic data management. Additionally, AFTAT offers electronic links to technical orders, standards, and specifications, and the ability to acquire and share data across agencies and programs. The AFTAT system serves as a repository for all product specifications and test methods and has grown to include features for shelf-life tracking of chemicals for the DoD, as well as fuels related incident management throughout the Air Force. AFTAT is used by all AF fuels personnel, AF fire departments, the Defense Logistics Agency (QARs), western and eastern space launch ranges, and other DOD fuels personnel. "In order to keep pace with the rapidly changing needs of the Air Force and DoD, AFPET has worked with the software vendor and SAIC to transition AFTAT from a local server hosted at Wright-Patterson AFB to a cloud-based solution in the Cloud One Microsoft Azure environment. This move allows for broader access throughout the DoD and its partners and will lead to the renaming of the system to the “Armed Forces Tests and Analysis Tool,” while retaining the same AFTAT acronym. This deployment will allow for greater scalability, flexibility, and reliability, as well as the ability to quickly and easily add new features and capabilities." - Mr. Scott Dible, Chief of the Laboratory Division of the Air Force Petroleum Office.
