Our next PDX Design Month partner spotlight is on the Multnomah County Library. When asked about their event, they had this to say: "Thanks to the support of voters, Multnomah County Library is hard at work on a major transformation. New spaces will replace cramped buildings and help the library change and grow along with the community. The community’s voice helps guide the design work every step of the way. Multnomah County voters’ historic investment in new and renewed library spaces created an opportunity for a more inclusive, culturally affirming approach to placemaking. Multnomah County Library, Bora Architects, Colloqate, and Regional Arts want to welcome attendees into Holgate Library to explore how the deeply participatory design process for this brand-new library led to a similarly engaged public art process. We hope that folks will share and discuss approaches to authentic community collaboration in the design of public spaces." Register at the links below: ?? 2:30-3:15 - Panel Discussion; Registration: https://lnkd.in/gxQtTqRY ?? 3:15-4:00 - Holgate Library Tour; Registration: https://lnkd.in/gCdAKqWC ?? 4:00-5:30 - Art Workshop; Drop in - more information: https://lnkd.in/gNUqqB6U ??
