? Our Founders, Our Mission ? AIDEAF was founded in 2006 by working interpreters Brooks Jody Belcher and Natalie Belcher, NIC. For nearly 20 years, they have cultivated a network of talented ASL interpreters, serving the Southwest Florida community with dedication and excellence. In 2024, Jody and Natalie partnered with Shawn Norris to expand their impact nationwide, bringing high-quality VRI interpreting services to the Deaf community across the country. Through the years, our mission has remained unwavering: to promote communicative autonomy for all by providing exceptional language access services with cultural humility and inclusivity. ?? AI Deaf, established in 2006 by Jody and Natalie Belcher, was founded on the principle of providing specialized sign language services that cater to the distinct requirements of both the Deaf community and interpreters. Built on a cornerstone of excellence, integrity, and collaboration, AI Deaf has become a reputable provider of Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) services, specializing in healthcare settings. In 2024, we were pleased to partner with Shawn Norris, an industry leader in both interpreting and healthcare language access, to establish a VRI company serving language providers across various platforms. Shawn, a certified healthcare interpreter with the CoreCHI-P credential from CCHI, brings extensive experience as both a seasoned interpreter and a dedicated advocate for the Deaf community. Together, Jody, Natalie, and Shawn continue to further AI Deaf’s mission of promoting mutual understanding and delivering exceptional service while supporting and empowering their team of interpreters.
