Yesterday marked a fantastic start to the AIAA UK Section with our inaugural meeting hosted at the University of Glasgow. This event highlighted the power of networking, meaningful engagement with the wider aerospace community, and the importance of fostering new connections and collaborations. A huge thank you to our speakers and all participants for contributing to such an energising launch. We’re excited to build on this momentum—more events coming later this year!

We were delighted to host the inaugural meeting of the American Institute of Aeronautics & Astronautics (AIAA) UK section at the University of Glasgow on 20th March. It was a pleasure to have the Section Chair Prof Jonathan Cooper, vice-chair Prof Konstantinos Kontis, Dr Pamela Smith, Mr David Sandy and Mr Jahan Ali, all providing very interesting talks at the event. I would like to thank the Head of Autonomous Systems & Connectivity Division, Prof David Flynn, for supporting the event. My special note of appreciation to Mr Abdul Ismail for his help in coordinating the event and his support in the organisation of the event.
