On April 3, AIA Utah and AIAS will come together to celebrate a successful year of mentorship. Over the past six months, more than 22 students from the University of Utah School of Architecture were paired with 11 AIA Utah members. Through regular meetings and meaningful conversations, students gained valuable insights into the profession and built lasting connections. Thank you to all the mentors and mentees who participated and helped make this program a success. AIA Utah will host another Mentor Match event this fall—stay tuned for details!

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Peter Goss, a beloved figure in Utah's architectural community. A passionate historian and preservationist, he touched countless lives through his infectious enthusiasm and genuine passion for teaching at the University of Utah. Many practicing architects today still remember sitting in his Architecture 101 class, where he not only shared the rich history of our field but also illuminated the creative process behind building design. Peter's generosity with his knowledge, unwavering kindness, and wonderful sense of humor created a lasting impact on generations of students. His legacy lives on through the many architects whose careers he helped shape and whose understanding of architectural history he enriched. We invite all who knew him to share your memories of this remarkable man.
