Join the AIA STL J.E.D.I. Committee and WashU AIAS (American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS)) as they partner to provide a building tour of the St. Louis Abbey Priory Chapel on Friday April 11th, from Noon – 1PM. RSVP online - https://lnkd.in/gk8_NPrt Designed by Gyo Obata (HOK) in 1962, the church is one of the regions architectural gems highlighting not only the advancement of modernist architecture at the time but the ingenuity and drive of the architect to push and re-interpret traditional forms. This lunch and building tour will dive into the history of the church, explore its architectural language, and reflect on the legacy of Obata in the region. Tentative Schedule:  12:00 PM – 12:15 PM – Arrivals and Networking 12:15 PM- 12:20 PM – Welcome + Introduction 12:20 PM – 1:00 PM – Lunch and Tour * Lunch will be provided for those in attendance.
