AIA Arizona Associate Members, the ARE Exam Prep Course on Project Management begins NEXT WEEK on 11/4!! A great opportunity for learning and connecting with those also preparing for their ARE exams!! The course will be facilitated by Arizona-based architects via ZOOM over 5 sessions: Mondays 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. - Nov 4, 11, 18; and December 2, 9. Facilitators: Riley Hausman, Assoc. AIA, Project Specialist at Corgan Jonathan Peiffer, AIA, Project Architect at Sketch Architecture Sarah Potzler, AIA, Project Architect at Cunningham Group Instructors will readily answer questions in all sessions. On Friday afternoon AIA Southern Arizona members gathered for the final Archtoberfest event, a facility tour of the new 37,000 SF Pima County Office of the Medical Examiner (PCOME), the newest addition to the growing Pima County Kino Campus. The PCOME facility represents an opportunity to honor its core functions and civic identity as both a trusted criminal justice asset and a critical public health service. The Archtoberfest fun continued last night at the University of Arizona Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine as AIA Southern Arizona members enjoyed dinner along with a presentation and tour lead by Henry Tom, FAIA, of Line and Space, LLC Architects. Located on the University of Arizona Health Sciences campus, the 30,000-square-foot complex will serve as a global flagship for integrative medicine, featuring buildings and spaces that embody the seven core areas of integrative health: sleep, resiliency, environment, movement, relationships, spirituality and nutrition.
