These Tours will provide architecture students with an opportunity to present and review their portfolio and resume with industry professionals at local firms. Students will also learn about each firm's work, culture, and of course tour their office! This collaboration introduces students to local opportunities to remain in the Rochester area after graduation and offers professional feedback as they prepare to apply for internships and full-time employment. AIA Rochester celebrates our 2024 Design Awards Recipients! For more information visit https://lnkd.in/gSV99e4m. On June 13, 2024 AIA Rochester held its annual Design Awards Celebration in a sold out event at The Historic German House. Seven firms garnered eight awards this year. We thank our colleagues at AIA Cincinnati for their time and expertise in jurying this year's projects. In. Site: Architecture took home the coveted Grand Honor Award for the Autism Nature Trail. Jurors may select one entry among?Design?Honor?Award recipients across all categories to receive this unique recognition, and it is not awarded every year. In.Site also took home a Design Award for buildingOUT. MRB Group with William Rawn Associates, Architects, Inc. received a Design Award for their project at Rochester Institute of Technology, the Student Hall for Exploration and Development (SHED). Design Awards represent the highest level of achievement recognized by the jury. Clute Park Redevelopment by Stantec, Arbor Midtown by Hanlon Architects, and the Neighborhood of Play by CJS Architects (Chaintreuil Jensen Stark Architects) received Merit Awards for distinguished achievement. A Citation Award for exemplary achievement in a specific aspect of a project was given to Edge Architecture for their Lincoln Library renovation. The Community Impact Award, which recognizes a project whose completion resulted in a notable positive impact on its surrounding community, was awarded to PLAN Architectural Studio for their project: 24 Jones Avenue – Housing for Alcohol and Substance Use Rehabilitation.
