My LinkedIn says I’m a VC backing early-stage startups, Speaker and Advisor but here’s what it doesn’t tell you: → I was rejected by top VC firms when I first tried to break in. → Before that, I built two startups—both failed. → I burned through my savings before landing my first investor role. → My first angel investment? It flopped. Hard. → I doubted myself more times than I can count. I made every mistake possible: Chased trends instead of real problems. Ignored red flags in founders and teams. Thought network > execution (it’s the other way around). Lessons I learned the hard way: ? Talk to founders like customers—understand their struggles deeply. ? Bet on resilience, not just ideas. ? Rejection isn’t failure. It’s redirection. ? Help others genuinely and Karma will come back If you’re struggling, keep going. Every “no” is just part of the journey.
