Today, on World Prematurity Day, the Association of Health Professionals Globally (AHPG) extends compassion to all preterm babies and their families and celebrates their strength and resilience. Premature babies are born before 37 weeks of pregnancy and encounter various challenges due to their underdeveloped organs. This year’s theme, “Small actions, Big Impact: Immediate skin-to-skin care for every baby everywhere”, underlines the profound benefits of skin-to-skin contact, especially for premature infants. Skin-to-skin contact, often called "kangaroo care," is the practice of placing a new born baby directly against a parent or caregiver's bare skin.? With an estimated 15 million babies born prematurely every year, the World Health Organization recommends skin-to-skin contact for eight to 24 hours daily for all babies born preterm or with low birth weight. This simple practice helps stabilize the baby's body temperature, heart rates, and breathing patterns. Babies who have regular skin-to-skin contact have been shown to develop stronger immune systems. Skin-to-skin care also encourages breastfeeding by stimulating the baby's natural feeding instincts and making it easier for them to latch on. But most importantly, this intimate contact fosters a deep emotional connection between the parent and the baby, particularly those born prematurely. At AHPG, we advocate for skin-to-skin care because it strengthens the bond between mother and child and ensures that preterm babies receive the best possible care. #worldprematurityday #ahpg #pretermawareness #skintoskincare #supportpreemies #healthystart #compassionincare #DUHS #JSMU #Chughtailab

The Association of Health Professionals Globally (AHPG) is observing World Diabetes Day on November 14th, a date that marks the birthday of Sir Frederick Banting, one of the brilliant minds behind the discovery of insulin. On this same day over a century ago, Banting and his colleague John McLeod were awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine for their ground breaking discovery of insulin, a life-saving treatment that has improved the lives of millions of people worldwide. This year, the theme for World Diabetes Day is “Empowering Global Health,” a call to action that emphasizes not only individual health but also the power of communities working together to combat the global diabetes epidemic. Millions of people with diabetes undergo a rigorous routine every day to keep their blood glucose levels under control. But unfortunately, the focus on blood sugar management often falls short of addressing the importance of overall well-being. The Association of Health Professionals Globally (AHPG) is advocating for a shift in how we approach diabetes care. We believe that well-being should be placed at the heart of every diabetes care plan. Together with healthcare professionals, advocates, and policymakers, we can educate people with diabetes on how to prioritize their well-being as a whole, not just their blood sugar levels. #worlddiabetesday #empoweringglobalhealth #ahpgglobal #diabetesawareness #wellbeingfirst #globalhealthmatters #associationofhealthprofessionals #AHPG #JSMU #JPMC #DUHS #Chughtailab

?????????? ?????????????????? ?????? - ???? ???????????????? The Association of Health Professionals Globally (AHPG) calls for everyone to join the fight against pneumonia on World Pneumonia Day. This day is dedicated to raising awareness, promoting prevention, and ensuring timely treatment of one of the world’s leading infectious killers. This year’s theme, "Championing the fight to stop pneumonia,” emphasizes the need for collective action to protect lives. AHPG aims to raise awareness about how dangerous pneumonia can be, especially for older adults and those with chronic conditions like asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Research shows that adults aged 65+ are 13 times more likely to be hospitalized with pneumococcal pneumonia than younger adults. Knowing about pneumonia is crucial as even milder forms of pneumonia can spread through coughs and sneezes. AHPG encourages everyone to stay informed and take preventive steps, as early recognition and prevention can save lives. Get vaccinated, quit smoking, practice good hygiene, avoid close contact with sick individuals, and maintain a healthy lifestyle with proper sleep, exercise, and nutrition. With knowledge, prevention, and action, we can build healthier, safer communities. #worldpneumoniaday #associationofhealthprofessionalsglobally #ahpgglobal #fightpneumonia #lunghealthawareness #publichealthmatters #championthefight #AHPG #DUHS #JSMU #JPMCC #Chughtai #ChughtaiLab

The Association of Health Professionals Globally (AHPG) pays tribute to the great philosopher, poet, and thinker on Dr. Muhammad Iqbal’s day. His vision laid the intellectual foundation for Pakistan. Allama Iqbal, the Poet of the East, inspired generations through his thought-provoking poetry and ideas emphasizing self-belief, unity, and spiritual awakening. At AHPG, Iqbal’s teachings remain relevant today, especially for those working to improve communities and promote well-being. His philosophy encourages us to rise above challenges, seek knowledge, and build a future grounded in health equity so everyone can access equal healthcare regardless of race, language, ethnicity, disability, socioeconomic status, geography, or other factors. Just as Iqbal emphasized the importance of self-improvement, AHPG urges all healthcare professionals to pursue personal and professional growth in ways that benefit the communities they serve. #allamaiqbalday #iqbalday2024 #ahpg #poetoftheeast #inspirationforall #buildinghealthequity #healthcareprofessionals #globalhealth #improvedpatientoutcomes #healthcarequality #equalhealthcareopportunity #duhs #jpmc #jsmu #chughtailab

On World Radiography Day, the Association of Health Professionals Globally (AHPG) honors the role of radiologists, radiographers, and radiological technologists in modern healthcare. They significantly contribute to diagnosis by seeing the unseen. Be it CT scans, X-rays, MRIs, PET scans, mammography, or fluoroscopy, their expertise uncovers what cannot be seen with the naked eye, reduces the need for invasive procedures, supports better treatment plans, and enables earlier diagnoses, all of which are crucial for saving lives. #worldradiographyday #ahpg #radiographers #seeingtheunseen #medicalimaging #diagnosticimaging #radiologyawareness #healthprofessionals #patientcare #earlydetection #duhs #jpmc #JSMU #ChughtaiLab #sdcp

The Association of Health Professionals Globally (AHPG) observes Stomach Cancer Awareness Month in?November. We are committed to raising awareness about stomach cancer and the importance of early detection. Stomach cancer, also known as gastric cancer, can be challenging to detect in its early stages because it rarely shows symptoms. In countries where regular screening isn't standard, most cases are found only when the cancer has already grown or spread outside the stomach. We can make a difference this November by educating ourselves and our loved ones about stomach cancer risk factors and early symptoms. Let’s use this month as a reminder to make small changes in our lifestyle and get regular check-ups. If you or anyone you know is experiencing these warning signs, take that extra step: get checked early. #stomachcancerawarenessmonth?#gastriccancer?#earlydetection?#earlydiagnosis?#knowthesigns?#healthylifestyle?#fightcancer?#cancerprevention?#ahpg?#DUHS?#JPMC?#Chughtai?#ChughtaiLab
