Aho Architects is proud to announce that Tim Aho has received the Accolade Award from the Alabama Council of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) during its annual Conference on Architecture.?This mid-career recognition “…is intended to be one of the highest honors it can bestow on a Member.?It is intended to be peer recognition of service to the profession and the State of Alabama of the highest order.” In conferring the award, the committee noted “Tim Aho has been an active member of AIA Birmingham, a practicing architect, and a committed leader and volunteer in the movement for resiliency in our communities. Tim has been an advocate for the education and deployment of trained, design professionals in times of crisis across the state. He stands as the State Disaster Coordinator of AIA Alabama and Co-Chair of the AIA’s National Disaster Assistance Committee (DAC).” Presenting the award, AIA Alabama President Lauren Gwaltney added “Tim exemplifies the ideals of service, sacrifice, and support for his work in the disaster response community. Through his work and leadership at the local, state, and national levels Tim’s contributions have made Alabama a safer and better place to live.” Please join us in congratulating Tim on this significant achievement.
