Tonight marked the conclusion of our Women in Sports Job Shadow Program, where participants had the chance to experience the behind-the-scenes action of Storm’s birthday celebration. A big thank you to all the shadows who joined us and to the mentors who guided them along the way.

The Bridgeport Islanders, Total Mortgage Arena, and Sodexo Live! are excited to announce our part-time employee spotlight—Michael Guthrie! Mike joined our team this season as our gameday and community performer. His supervisors, Megan Hopton, M.S., and Haley Castellari, have expressed that Mike is "an incredible asset to this team and never fails to bring a smile to everyone's face." During All-Star Weekend, the Bridgeport Islanders hosted their annual youth hockey jamboree—a day full of smiles, sportsmanship, and hockey for all our youth players. Thank you to all the players, coaches, staff, and families who joined us!

The Bridgeport Islanders, Total Mortgage Arena, and Sodexo Live! are excited to announce December's part-time employee spotlight—Michaela Kraut. Michaela joined our marketing department this season as our community relations intern. Her manager, Haley Castellari, has expressed that "Michaela is passionate in her role, and it clearly shows. The Bridgeport Islanders and Total Mortgage Arena are excited to announce that our Women in Sports Job Shadow Program is back for the 2024-25 season! The Women in Sports Job Shadow Program provides young women with a unique opportunity to explore careers in the sports industry. Participants will shadow female employees, gaining valuable mentorship and hands-on experience in gameday operations. This program is designed to empower the next generation of women in sports by offering career insights, fostering professional growth, and encouraging a more diverse industry. Colin joined us this season and is a member of our gameday hype team. His supervisor, Brittany Whitham, says he has been a great addition to our team and exhibits positive energy when greeting fans into the building.
