We're thrilled to announce AHLA and AHLA Foundation are the recipients of two Power of Associations awards from the American Society of Association Executives: ??Gold Award in The Power of Advocacy category for the H-2B Workforce Coalition AHLA’s work to strengthen and expand the H-2B seasonal worker visa program is part of our broader advocacy for comprehensive immigration reform. In 2023, the Department of Homeland Security’s decision to issue an additional 64,716 H-2B visas directly benefited the businesses that hired the workers, their communities, and the workers themselves.? ??Gold Award in The Power of Community Support and Engagement category?for the No Room for Trafficking initiative The original goal of the NRFT awareness program was to train every industry employee on how to identify and report suspected human trafficking. The program’s objectives have expanded to include supporting survivors as well.?At the end of 2023, nearly 1.2 million trainings were completed. ASAE congratulated AHLA and AHLA Foundation for "exemplifying the impact associations have on the industries and professions they represent and on society at large."
