Last week, we launched our first program-related investment! ?? We're providing a $2 million low-interest bridge loan to support the?DyeWorks?project, led by Lawrence CommunityWorks, Inc. (LCW), to transform a 35,000 sq. ft. historic mill building into a hub that expands access to healthy foods and health care, promotes healthy youth development, and creates living-wage jobs. Thank you Jessica Andors and our investment committee Jock Payten, CFA and Leslie Teso-Lichtman for this partnership. We're one of many lenders and donors supporting this community-led project - learn more: https://lnkd.in/euuTVMZD
关于我们
Founded in 2022, the Atrius Health Equity Foundation aims to make large-scale, strategic investments in selected neighborhoods in Eastern Massachusetts to turn the tide on the chronic conditions that cut short too many lives. These initiatives will be led by trusted, community-based organizations and will encompass the upstream causes of health inequities and strengthened connections to community-based primary care. We will meet the urgency of this moment with resources, talent and commitment to close the gap.

Last week, we kicked off our Cafecito & Community virtual series featuring La Colaborativa, as they shared insights from their Community Health Worker (CHW) Training Program, as part of our "Youth as Health Care Change Agents" grant for youth-led community health solutions and systems change. Leading to CHW certification, their program is a gateway for young adults in the community to access health careers, connect resources to address local needs, and organize and advocate to shape the future of their neighborhoods. What if Mattapan was a Neighborhood of Opportunity for children and youth aged 0 - 22? What would that mean, how would public and private resources align and be leveraged to make that happen, what would children and youth gain? Do you live, work, serve, have a business, pray or care about Mattapan? Join us on Wednesday, March 5th at 6:30 pm and have your voice be heard. Registration is optional, (but it helps me know how much dinner to order): https://lnkd.in/gR5BEATa
