(LCW), to transform a 35,000 sq. ft. historic mill building into a hub that expands access to healthy foods and health care, promotes healthy youth development, and creates living-wage jobs. Last week, we kicked off our Cafecito & Community virtual series featuring La Colaborativa, as they shared insights from their Community Health Worker (CHW) Training Program, as part of our "Youth as Health Care Change Agents" grant for youth-led community health solutions and systems change. Leading to CHW certification, their program is a gateway for young adults in the community to access health careers, connect resources to address local needs, and organize and advocate to shape the future of their neighborhoods.
