The AHA Project vision is to release the creator from the daunting tasks of business formation, back-office administration, fiduciary responsibilities, and staffing needs so that they can create their work and engage with the community for mutual gain. We provide operational infrastructure allowing you to focus on your Aha idea while removing the burden of creating a business structure and the backend office functions. Our 20+ years of nonprofit leadership experience brings knowledge to help you build the infrastructure you need to bring your idea to fruition. From fundraising events and best practices to onboarding new staff, we’re here to support day-to-day. Mission Statement: To support artistic creators through innovative partnerships to solve communities greatest challenges while providing access to the necessary resources and support. Utilizing the fiscal sponsorship models, we aim to partner with project leaders who have specific goals to solve these challenges and engage the community for mutual gain. Through thoughtful risk, advocacy and creative structures we fiercely elevate the presence and preservation of arts and culture of various communities. Artists Greatest Challenges: -Access to affordable space to work, live, rehearse, exhibit, and sell their craft -Displacement through Reno-viction and Demo-viction due to rising property values -Under valuation of Arts and Culture in the community We creatively solve problems by building on the fiscal sponsorship model which is a tool that allows us, our projects, our partners, and our staff to drive change in a more efficient, cost-effective, and time-saving way.

The Hi-Desert Artists (HDA) came to AHA Projects in August 2023 and said we need a gallery space! After months of searching, months of renovation, and months or organizing this project as a Fiscal Sponsorship, we DID IT! Saturday, June 29th - in the hot heat of the Yucca Valley area - we are opening our doors. The first exhibition will showcase 70+ members and a solo show of Paul Donaldson's oil paintings. AHA Projects could not be more proud of HDA and they many successes they will endure. This is what fiscal sponsorship can do!

AHA Projects is excited to have purchased the Art Queen complex in Downtown Joshua Tree. There are so many existing crafters, artisans, and retailers at this space and we only hope to amplify their presence and add to the community. We are open to community input as we focus on needed infrastructure upgrades. Nonprofit work can be larger than services.
