?? Legacy Leader Spotlight: Today, we celebrate Daniel Grumbling, a Legacy Leader who has dedicated over two decades to the Agua Fria High School District. Dan’s journey began in 1995 as an English and Speech Teacher at Agua Fria North (now Millennium) and South Campuses (Agua Fria). Now, as Director of Coldwater Learning Center, he continues to help students achieve their goals. Why Dan Continues to Choose AFHSD: "I love working here. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with amazing students, parents, colleagues, and community members who have shaped me into the person I am today. As a teacher at Agua Fria North (1995-1996) and South (1995-2009), I was lucky to work alongside incredible colleagues. Together, we provided students with a strong foundation for success. I’ve had the privilege of seeing many former students grow into remarkable adults—some of whom I now work with. Whether they loved English and Public Speaking or found their passion elsewhere, they all grew as scholars and people. They made me laugh, cry, and sometimes even frustrated me, but through it all, they taught me as much as I taught them. The support I’ve received from all corners of this district—teachers, aides, custodians, cafeteria staff, transportation, and administration—has been invaluable. My last year in the classroom was one of my favorites, but I found new joy in administration. Whether as an assistant principal at DE or now as Director of Coldwater, I’ve helped students reach goals they once thought impossible. AFHSD is more than a workplace—it’s a family." Dan’s Greatest Joy: "I don’t have just one favorite memory—I have many. One that stands out is a young woman who was deeply troubled as a student. Years later, she told me my support was one of the key factors in her success as an adult. Knowing I played a small role in her journey means the world to me. Some of my greatest joy comes from working with former students who returned to education to give back to AFHSD. Seeing them shape the next generation speaks volumes about our strong community—we are truly a family." Your unwavering commitment and leadership continue to make a difference. You are truly a Legacy Leader!
