In livestock husbandry as in science, nature favors those who are prepared. When it comes to working with the new antibiotic rules (the switch from many being available over the counter to now rx only), that means keeping in touch with animal health experts while implementing sound preventive and health management practices. Being prepared means some key actions including establishing relationships with veterinarians, choosing healthy genetics, monitoring animal health and staying informed on best practices.
