For over 50 years, AGM Container Controls, Inc. (AGM) has led in the design and fabrication of products that control and monitor moisture (desiccators and humidity indicators), pressure, and vacuum changes (breather valves), and shock and vibration (tie-downs and shock overload indicators). These products are used for various applications in defense and aerospace, electronic, electro-optical, industrial, and commercial markets to protect and extend the life of critical equipment. Over the years, our product lines have continued to grow (see our complete product list below). Our facilities have the complete approval of the Army, Navy, Air Force, AEC, and NASA. AGM's Magnet Valves: The Best Protection For Aircargo During Rapid Decompression Events A pressure differential can develop quickly as an #aircraft or spacecraft ascends. If pressure is not equalized to safe levels fast enough, a differential over a vehicle or enclosure's pressure rating may develop. As a result, such excessive pressures can cause catastrophic failure of the vehicle or equipment. Understanding the functions of a breather valve is crucial in selecting the right one. It must #protect a container from excessive #pressure or vacuum differentials while limiting the amount of moisture entering it. An ideal valve should remain sealed except during altitude variations or extreme temperature changes. BREATHER VALVES FOR AERO AND OTHERS In the #aerospace industry, breather valves manage pressure, prevent damage to sensitive #electronic components, ensure proper fuel flow, and control internal pressures, such as in an aircraft cabin. Breather valves face significant challenges during the rapid ascent and descent of rockets, planes, and spacecraft. The speed differentials can be so high that they can easily damage an enclosure and cause a breather valve to struggle to keep up if not appropriately planned. It is crucial to grasp the concept of cracking and reseal pressures, the impact of pressure differential rate and magnitude on a breather valve’s performance, and the difference between spring and magnet breather valves.
