CEO Agile Rainmakers | Business Development Consulting | Author of Intern Management and How To Intern Successfully
Occassionally, I enjoy pointing out the challenges of our times online and how we can choose to think about them. If you look at the Amazon Kindle Rankings for Internship books right now, you will find 100+ Real Work From Home, The 30-Day Job Search, and How To Intern Successfully, in that order for the top 3 books on internships. Only the third book applies to internships. Reminds me of two quotes in the book: “You cannot control everything that is coming at you but you can control how you react.” - Bryan Tracy (page 51) “Instead of worrying about what you cannot control, shift your energy to what you can create.” - Roy Bennett (page 211) I can’t control Amazon’s algorithms placing non-internship books in these rankings. I can create awareness about the continued absurdity of it though! By the way, these quotes are not only true for interns but for all of us. The students that read the book just get a head start becoming aware of their choices of reacting and creating in these situations, as I am demonstrating with this post. Which college student could you gift How To Intern Successfully to? #internships #management #innovation
