Thank you for sharing, Lauren Ferracane! We 100% agree - we're building better caregivers because of Dementia Live. We appreciate your dedication to increasing quality of life! #DementiaLive #DementiaEducation #BetterCare #DementiaSupport #EmpathyTraining
We are always excited to bring our Dementia Live program to future caregivers, including the Physical Therapy students at Chattanooga State this past week. Through this immersive experience, students have the opportunity to understand the challenges faced by those with dementia in their daily lives. Using special headphones, gloves, and glasses, participants simulate the physical and cognitive struggles of dementia, gaining insight into the experience. In addition to learning how to care for others, these students also have the chance to reflect on the important role they may play as caregivers, both in their professional lives and possibly for loved ones, as they navigate their education and future careers. Thank you again to Chattanooga State for having us! #DementiaLive #ChattState #Students #Caregivers #Learning #RightatHome #Chattanooga #TN #InHomeCare #SeniorCare

It was my pleasure to facilitate a presentation about Loneliness at my church, First United Methodist Church of Arlington Heights, IL. Dr. Nicole Reidy, DSW, LCSW, ICDVP discussed the underlying causes of loneliness, and encouraged us to move beyond self-blame toward actionable steps. Panelists Jim Boggess, LCSW with WellBe Senior Medical, and Daniellah Salario, M.A., CSA, owner of Assisting Hands Home Care Arlington Heights described how their work addresses client loneliness. Thank you to all the experts who brought to light the silent epidemic of loneliness. https://lnkd.in/gCsP4Bf7
