Thrilled to see agemo featured as one of the companies tackling ARC-AGI (alongside OpenAI) in Fran?ois' incredible keynote at NeurIPS! Our vision is to lower the barrier to software creation, starting with building an AI system that can reason and iteratively improve. While training on massive public codebases is an important step, it hasn’t yet produced models capable of reliably and efficiently performing System 2 reasoning. This limits their potential to code generation and AI coding assistances. To build such a system, we need a rigorous benchmark like ARC-AGI to truly test its ability to acquire new skills with minimal domain expertise—and to do so efficiently. I’m excited about the potential of ARC-AGI v2 and looking forward to tackling it! The other half of this journey is putting that AI system into a product people can use and have it continously learns based on real-world feedback. Opening up Codewords beta has been a fantastic step in this direction, and the feedback we’ve received is invaluable. I'm super excited to all the upcoming improvements to the core intelligence based on the feedback loop, while iterating on the UX of building software from words. The ARC Prize v1, led by Fran?ois Chollet and Mike Knoop, came to a close a few weeks ago and the technical report is out (https://lnkd.in/e5rMVZCX) It's great to see our research work at agemo recognized in the report, in particular the ARC Solver (https://lnkd.in/eJ4EfghV) that we've open-sourced for the wider community to contribute to and leverage for future work in building systems able to reason. While building a system able to solve 85% of the ARC training tasks was quite an achievement for our team, it was also a demonstration that the path to reasoning systems require methods beyond LLMs; which could in turn lead to more impactful and useful AI-native applications beyond next-word predictors, e.g. chatbots, autocomplete products.
