Our mission is to be a leading voice of, and connector to, older adults-- to help organizations improve their cultures, products and services, and ultimately their results. The Age-Friendly Institute's non-profit-generating Certified Age Friendly Employer (CAFE) program is the world's leading certification program that identifies organizations committed to being the best places to work for employees aged 50+. Since the Certified Age-Friendly Employer (CAFE) Program was created in 2006, hundreds of leading companies and organizations have earned the distinction of being recognized. AgeFriendly.com: A Website Created For and With Older Adults. The consumer-facing website AgeFriendly.com provides older adults and their caregivers with curated, trusted content and invites their feedback: Is your community or employer age-friendly? Is your local hospital, nursing home or home health service? How about your mother’s assisted living facility, or other products and services such as a particular medicare plan? Our ratings and reviews engine makes collecting the answers to these kinds of questions possible, at scale. The term “Age-Friendly” describes environments that promote access to services and opportunities for people as they age and that prioritize the inclusion and participation of older adults in all aspects of life. It is now commonly used to describe successful approaches to improving quality outcomes for older adults in communities, workplaces, health systems and other settings. Founded in 2019, the Age-Friendly Institute elevates those age-friendly initiatives and provides a first of its kind platform for capturing feedback about them from older adults: the consumer website www.AgeFriendly.com. Working with our partners around the world, we harness what we learn when we listen to the voices of older adults to inform continuous age-friendly program improvement and accelerate enhanced quality of life and care for older adults.

Employers report not only spikes in talent retention and acquisition, but also measurable improvements in culture and peace of mind among older employees.
