Heading to Denver this weekend for Commodity Classic which is March 2-4? Our ADT Administrator, Todd Janzen, will be there speaking about ADT and meeting with our members. You can find him on the NASA Acres stage discussing the work of ADT to enhance transparency, simplicity and trust between farmers and their technology providers. If you'd like to meet up with Todd to learn more about ADT, just send a note to [email protected] to arrange a time. We salute our industry members who present this impressive conference each year: American Soybean Association, National Corn Growers Association, National Sorghum Producers and National Association of Wheat Growers (NAWG). We hope to see our logo at many booths like in this photo from last year!

It takes a team to tell ADT's story, and we thank all our members for their ideas, input and amplification of ADT's work. For example, our marketing committee comes together several times a year to brainstorm and share insight that can be turned into action. Thanks to Heidi Burns of Indigo, Thayer Tomlinson of Ecosystem Services Market Consortium (ESMC), McKinley Flinders of Ever.Ag - Insights, David Simard of METOS? Canada and Todd Janzen of Janzen Schroeder Agricultural Law LLC for a robust marketing discussion today. You can always learn more about ADT by visiting our website https://lnkd.in/dmW-S_jm

Simply put, farmers care about their data and how it is used. That's why the largest farm organizations in the U.S. and Canada are members of our organization. Thank you American Farm Bureau Federation and Canadian Federation of Agriculture for leading the way to champion transparency, simplicity and trust in the relationship between farmers and their tech providers.

Ever been in a situation where someone was speaking a language that you didn't understand? Frustration and confusion often follow. One doesn't have to travel far from home to encounter being "lost in translation." Contracts between ag tech companies and farmers can seem like a foreign language with legalese and pages of fine print. Improving and helping clarify communication between farmers and tech providers is at the center of what we do at ADT, and we appreciate EMILI including ADT Administrator Todd Janzen as a speaker at EMILI’s 2024?Agriculture Enlightened Conference along with other ADT members and industry experts. This blog post captures highlights from the discussion and how ADT can help strengthen communication across the ag data ecosystem in Canada and the U.S. https://lnkd.in/gzUPNrR6

The voice of the farmer guides our work at ADT as we work to create transparency in the exchange of data. Our officers represent leading ag organizations in the U.S. and Canada and have their hands on the pulse of the industry. Thank you Emily E. Buckman of American Farm Bureau Federation for serving as our president, and our gratitude goes as well to Dan Lussier of EMILI for being VP and Laura Gentry of Illinois Corn Growers for being Secretary/Treasurer. https://lnkd.in/g94ydHJC

Technology can help farmers do what they do even better. Yet, they must trust their technology providers to properly use their operation's data. In fact, the entire food chain needs assurance that ag data is used responsibly. That's why we have a supporting membership category for organizations who don't directly gather farmer data yet want to reinforce the importance of transparency in the industry and help shape the future. We thank our supporting members McCain Foods, EMILI, AGree (an initiative of Meridian Institute), NASA Acres, FCC / FAC, and the National Agricultural Producers Data Cooperative for their engagement with ADT. Does your organization want to step forward and join our efforts? Let us know by sending us a note: https://lnkd.in/djU-hdDK

Why do significant farmer led groups including American Soybean Association, American Farm Bureau Federation, National Association of Wheat Growers (NAWG), National Corn Growers Association, NFU (National Farmers' Union), National Sorghum Producers, National Potato Council and Canadian Federation of Agriculture support our work and lead our board? Come find out on January 16 at our quarterly "Background and Benefits" Webinar. Email [email protected] for the Zoom details. Happy New Year....and Happy "Data Discussions" as farmers, retailers and tech providers gear up for the 2025 season. At ADT, we will bring thought starters your way this year, encouraging discussion and dialogue. This story from Farm Journal 's AgWeb illustrates the importance of understanding how a farm's data is being used and shared. Companies that are ADT Certified and have earned our seal make it clear how they use data, visit our homepage to see a listing of these industry leaders - https://lnkd.in/dmW-S_jm https://lnkd.in/gwpX4RGB
