"Being a part of afterschool programs became motivation for everything that I would do with my life. What I am witnessing here makes me happy to be a part of what I hope is a signal that goes out to all Boys & Girls Clubs, because what we are able to do here with #LightsOnAfterschool is something that I think is very important.” Usher found his spark for music in afterschool. Now, as a national voice for afterschool and Honorary Chair of #LightsOnAfterschool 2024, he joins the effort to expand these opportunities for all youth. Last week, Usher shared the news at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan, during a Club Takeover organized with Usher's New Look, an afterschool program he founded to help youth discover their passions and purpose!
