I remember I was once watching the Curious George cartoon with my son, and sure enough, there was the classic firefighter moment—rescuing a cat stuck in a tree. And while we all grew up seeing that scene play out in cartoons, firefighters are out here raising the stakes in real life. Case in point: this latest purr-fect rescue from Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue—where the cat wasn’t in a tree, but wedged inside a drain pipe. No ladder required, but probably just as much eye-rolling from the crew. Moral of the story? Firefighters don’t just save lives—they save nine of them. ?? ?? What’s the most ridiculous, silly or ironic call you (or someone you know) has ever responded to?
