This month, we were pleased to welcome Dr. Sandra Hobson, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, and U.S. Marine Lt. Gen. Francis Donovan, vice commander to U.S. Special Operations Command. The visit highlighted AFSOC and USSOCOM initiatives and priorities, and included engagements with Air Commandos from various career fields. Stronger Together ?? 352d Special Operations Wing Air Commandos teamed up with members of the British Army Air Corps last month during a Forward Area Refueling Point exercise. Interoperability is about different teams working together effectively as one. Training with Allies and partner forces provides a opportunity to test the combination of a variety of experiences, tactics, and resources resulting in a stronger, more capable team. #AFSOC #AirCommandos #StrongerTogether

Leaders at every level ?? At every level, our Air Commandos are tried and tested to lead so that they can develop the skills needed to succeed in unfamiliar, ever evolving operating environments. Our Air Commandos make it look easy?? AFSOC continues to implement Agile Combat Employment concepts such as Forward Arming and Refueling Points to provide the placement, access, and survivability needed within contested and denied environments. FARPs enable AFSOC aircraft to quickly refuel, rearm, and return to the fight, reducing downtime and increasing operational tempo. #EmeraldWarrior #AFSOC

What happens when there isn't an actual runway for our MC-130Js? We make our own! This summer, the 352nd Special Operations Wing conducted unimproved surface landing training in Wales, exercising our Air Commandos' ability to land in austere locations.
