Last week, Lt. Gen. Stacey Hawkins, AFSC commander, announced during a ceremony at the Museum of Aviation that Ms. Bobby Hager is appointed as the first competitively selected Director of the Air Force Sustainment Center Software Directorate. Lt. Gen. Stacey Hawkins also announced the headquarters for the Software Directorate will be at Robins AFB due to the installation’s focus on mission and people. As the Director of the Software Directorate, Ms. Hager leads over 5,500 professionals across 3 software engineering groups and 11 operating locations providing the DoD with innovative, cost-effective, quality, and timely delivery of software products. #AFSC #Software #AssumptionOfLeadership #SES

On January 8th, the 76th Software Engineering Group and the 76th Maintenance Support Group gathered for a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for White House 7, a new mezzanine space that was built by the exceptional employees in 76 MXSG for the 76 SWEG. MXSG worked closely with the Facilities within the Software Directorate at Tinker to ensure that all the specific requirements were met for this very valuable space. Mr. Clint Gill, MXSG Director and Dr. Olivero, 76 SWEG Director, both spoke at the Ribbon cutting ceremony, stating that this was a great opportunity to slow down and take note of the good work that is being done every day by these employees. Many employees from both MXSG and 76 SWEG were in attendance. Also in attendance was new AFSC Software Directorate Director, Ms. Bobby Hager, SES. Recently, Ms. Melanie Johnson was officially given the torch during her Assumption of Leadership Ceremony that was held at Tinker Air Force Base. Mr. Michael Doubleday, 402d Software Engineering Group (SWEG) Director, passed the guidon to Ms. Johnson since the 581st SWES will be headquartered out of the 402d SWEG. The formation of the 581st SWES consolidates Automated Test System (ATS)/Test Program Set (TPS) operations at the 76th, 309th, and 402d Software Engineering Groups into one unified Squadron that will realign under the 402 SWEG. Ms. Johnson’s supporters filled the room, including family, friends, leadership, and many local 581st SWES employees and several virtual attendees as well. President Biden has designated today, Thursday, January 9th, as the National Day of Mourning for the passing of President Jimmy Carter.
