Diaspora podcasters contribute significantly to the narrative about Africa and Africans, facilitating connections between Africa and the global community. They act as a bridge by amplifying the voices of African individuals both on the continent and in the diaspora. Their work highlights social justice, human rights issues, and political matters. Happy Africa Podcast Day!! Africans both young old have taken to Podcasting like no other media medium in recent times, my argument has been that since we've always been oral storytellers, podcast was a natural fit. Two years ago, the team at The African Perspective Magazine reached out to Molly Jensen and her team at Afripods to work on a special "Podcast in Africa magazine issue". We went on to get 80 African podcasters and industry professionals from across 18 African countries to contribute to this very unique issue that covers everything you need to know about the state of podcasting in Africa. It is simply, the "bible" of Podcasting in Africa. Special thanks to everyone who contributed to this issue and to Africa No Filter for supporting us. Afripods is on a mission to create the largest library of African audio stories. If you haven't yet, please check it out. Let's continue to be creative in telling our stories in all its forms. #AfricaPodcastDay #Podcast #Africa #AfricanStories Click link below for a FREE download of the issue or to read the digital copy. https://lnkd.in/dBj2NN8T
