David Olamide, Co-founder, CTO and Lead Gameplay Engineer at Dimension11 Games, will be joining us a #africagamesweek2024 ?? David Olamide is a self-taught Nigerian gameplay developer with over 7 years of experience. He studied computer engineering at Obafemi Awolowo University and founded the first game developer community there in 2019. In 2022, he co-founded Dimension11 Studio, focusing on African game content. David has collaborated with international game studios and is currently the CTO and Lead Gameplay Engineer at Dimension11. David's achievements include: - "One-to-watch" award at the Games Industry Africa Awards 2022 - Winner of the African App Launchpad Cup 2021 - IGDA Foundation Virtual Exchange Program Scholar 2021 - IGDA Foundation Diverse Game Developer Fund Recipient 2021 - Amongst other achievements in the game dev industry Beyond gaming, David enjoys travel, playing the trumpet and violin, and reading. We were thrilled to have media giants like SABC Sports & Radio 2000 among others, join us at this momentous occasion capturing the collaborative spirit of legendary African gaming with industry partners. A massive thanks to Multichoice, EOH, The Jobs Funds, all the Government entities and our Consortium Partners for their generous backing. Your support has truly taken this event to new heights! The panel of guests truly added depth and perspective to the event.
