On Day 5, AMLA - African Mining Legislation Atlas Workshop 2024 participants had the opportunity to engage in an enriching day of learning and collaboration. Trainees took part in hands-on exercises, including negotiation of mining agreements, allowing them to gain valuable practical experience in real-world scenarios. The day also featured in-depth discussions on key topics shaping Africa’s mining landscape, including gender in the mining sector, mining tax collection, and building legal capacity for Africa’s mining future. Day 3 was an exciting day for the AMLA - African Mining Legislation Atlas Workshop 2024 cohort! One group explored the fascinating world of mining operations with a visit to Gold One Mine, gaining valuable insights into the industry’s processes and impact. ???? Meanwhile, a second group took a cultural and historical journey through Pretoria, touring the iconic Union Buildings and Freedom Park.???
