Congratulations to the 2024 Class of Black Executives on the Rise Demi Adebowale, Kieron Frazier, Marcus G. Glover, Darnell Johnson, Khalid Jones, Dyani S. Marvel and Henry Williams. As noted by African Americans in Gaming Founder, Alex Dixon: “The Black Executives on the Rise feature in partnership with CDC Gaming is such a vital platform to highlight amazing businesspeople living out the American dream . . . Privileged licenses issued by governments is the core value proposition of our entire industry. Therefore, as an industry, we must collectively ensure that our companies and sovereign nations employ people at every level that will fight to uphold these values so that we may grow and flourish for generations to come. On behalf of the leadership of African Americans in Gaming,?congratulations?to the recipients and to an industry that finds strength in our diversity.” Special thanks to CDC Gaming Reports – Cory Roberts and Rege Behe for highlighting this esteemed group of leaders's careers and contributions to the industry.

It's been a hot summer filled with exceptional gaming conferences, and the Canadian Gaming Summit in Toronto was an absolute hit! Not only did we host our inaugural African Americans in Gaming meet up, we also got to celebrate Juneteenth with friends of all backgrounds across the industry. A big thank you to everyone who joined us for a day of networking and creating new industry connections, and a very special thanks to Basil Williams Jr with SBC for making what was once a vision become a reality in Toronto. To use the words of our co-founder, Alex Dixon, "Keep Pushing!" #Gaming #Networking #Diversity #Juneteenth

?????? Juneteenth commemorates a pivotal moment in history on June 19, 1865, when the last slaves were freed in Texas - two and a half years after President Abraham Lincoln outlawed slavery. Becoming recognized in the US as a federal holiday in 2021, Juneteenth honors the resilience and cultural legacy of the African Diaspora. The term African Diaspora?captures the vast exodus of Africans, forcibly uprooted during the harrowing era of the Transatlantic Slave Trades, spanning from the 16th to the 19th century. It is a testament to millions from Western and Central Africa who, despite being displaced across the Americas and the Caribbean, forged a vibrant tapestry of culture. Amidst new lands, they blended the rich flavors of local cuisines with their ancestral traditions, creating a cultural heritage as profound as it is diverse. Today, we celebrate not only their survival but the indelible contributions they’ve made to the world’s cultural mosaic. ??????

As we honor the rich tapestry of diversity in our industry, let’s take a moment to recognize and celebrate the unique contributions and experiences of the LGBTQ+ gaming community. Your creativity, innovation, and resilience have been pivotal in shaping a more inclusive and vibrant gaming community. From executives and designers to regulators and dealers, LGBTQ+ voices bring a unique perspective that enriches the cultural fabric of our industry. Your journey reminds us that diversity and inclusion are not just values to be celebrated during Pride Month, but year-round commitments that drive the industry forward. Let's continue to amplify these voices and foster a gaming world where everyone can see themselves represented and respected. Together, we can create spaces that are safe, welcoming, and celebratory of all identities. ??????? #PrideMonth #LGBTQ+ #GamingDiversity #InclusionMatters #CelebrateDiversity
