??Today we’re shining the spotlight on Yellow Bluff, AL Mayor Michael Gordon for his visionary leadership! Since taking office in 2020, he’s been driven by a passion for community progress. Inspired by the town’s potential, Mayor Gordon focuses on improving housing, enhancing the sewage system, and boosting local income. Before becoming Mayor, Gordon earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from A&M University and built a successful career as an engineer. He later returned to his hometown, Snow Hill, AL, to manage his family farm and launch his own trucking and recovery business. ??Today we’re celebrating Lisman, AL Mayor Jason Q. Ward who has served since 2012. He prioritizes infrastructure improvement, recreational opportunities, the renovation of community centers, and police department reinstatement for the safety and well-being of all Lisman residents. Prior to becoming mayor, Ward was a council member for 10 years. Now serving in his 2nd term, he has prioritized revitalizing Birmingham’s 99 neighborhoods, addressing food deserts, public safety and creating educational opportunities. His initiative, Birmingham Promise,?provides college scholarships and apprenticeships to local high school graduates making a generational impact. Mayor Woodfin has also prioritized critical issues like gun violence reduction and affordable housing. Project ‘Home for All’?aims to create micro-housing for the homeless.
