AFP Southwest Florida Chapter members were truly engaged with March's presentation, Giving Smarter: How AI Helps Nonprofits Grow & Automate Work, by Lee Dickson, Dir. of Sales & Ops at raia. Dickson discussed how AI can help nonprofits overcome common challenges such as donor fatigue, limited staff, inefficient processes, and difficulties in personalizing outreach. AI is transforming the way nonprofits raise funds, and we learned that general AI tools can play a huge role in enhancing fundraising efforts but utilizing private AI solutions can be a powerful tool for NPOs that prioritize data security. By combining smart technology with the human touch of fundraising, it can make nonprofit work much more powerful. AI will not replace the relationship-building aspect of our jobs, but it can enhance it. Do you have specific questions about AI in your workplace? Contact Lee Dickson at [email protected]. #AFP #NPO #AI

AFP Southwest Florida Chapter invites you to De-code Donors using the Platinum Rule: How Tailored Communication Deepens Connections and Impacts Giving, presented by Kristen Theisen, CFRE and CEO of Amplify Connections Consulting on Tues., Feb. 11, 2025 at Michael's On East. Program Overview: Fundraising is all about relationships, and building genuine donor relationships has never been more critical. By applying the “Platinum Rule” — treating donors the way they want to be treated — fundraising professionals can go beyond “one-size-fits-all” messaging to forge deeper connections, foster trust, and inspire greater generosity. In this session, participants will explore the four primary communication styles, learning how to identify a donor’s preferred style and adapt their messaging accordingly. By aligning communication to what resonates most with each donor, fundraisers can maximize their impact, strengthen relationships, and build towards future success. Learning Outcomes: ? Master Communication Styles: Discover how your communication preferences shape donor relationships and learn to adapt for stronger connections. ? Enhance Relationship Building: Gain strategies to navigate differences in communication styles and build stronger, more authentic donor connections. ? Drive Fundraising Success: Learn how to tailor your messaging to align with a donor’s style, creating more meaningful engagement and inspiring increased giving. Attendees will leave with practical strategies to enhance their communication skills and cultivate deeper, more impactful relationships with donors, peers, and stakeholders. RSVP at https://ow.ly/BEyV50UJLfL.
