In a groundbreaking study analyzing data from over one million inflammatory bowel disease patients, more effective treatment approaches will be developed to bring new hope to patients around the world. Notable for its scale, the data of more than one million IBD patients, including Crohn’s disease and colitis, were examined. Given Israel’s relatively small patient population, with fewer than 100,000 individuals diagnosed with IBD, this study presented an extraordinary opportunity to analyze healthcare data on a large scale across a diverse patient population. By incorporating routinely collected data, the researchers were able to examine critical subgroups such as sex, age, ethnicity, treatment regimens, and historical data, enabling more precise and comprehensive analyses. https://lnkd.in/gaDMWS2x

December 4, 2024 – Today, Montana Tucker, social media influencer and activist, visited Rambam Health Care Campus (Rambam) in Haifa, Israel, as part of her first trip to Northern Israel. Montana Tucker is an American Jewish social media star. She gained widespread attention for her bold appearance at the Grammy Awards in February, wearing a dress emblazoned with a yellow ribbon acknowledging the hostages taken captive by Hamas. She is back in Israel for a visit, dedicated entirely to stories of Israeli heroism during the war. During her visit, she met with 11-year-old Tia Mari, who was critically injured in a missile attack on Majdal Shams in July 2024—a tragic event that claimed the lives of 12 children from the Druze town in the northern Golan Heights. She also spent time with Shlomi Tubi and Astar Moshe, survivors of the massacre at the NOVA music festival. Eight months ago they welcomed their son, Benaia, at Rambam—the first baby born in Israel from the NOVA community. The couple shared their harrowing experiences from October 7, expressing gratitude to Tucker for her visit and the opportunity to share their story. Following this emotional encounter, Tucker met with Professor Michael Halberthal, Director General of Rambam, and learned of the hospital staff’s incredible dedication and resilience while operating under ongoing rocket fire from Lebanon. Tucker, 30, is a viral content creator with accounts across multiple social media platforms, reaching a global audience of 12 million followers. Since October 7, she has actively joined efforts advocating for Israel, speaking out against antisemitism and hate with passion and determination.
