The Afghan Sports Trust is excited to support the The Afghan Peaks Charitable Trust and the Bamyan Alpine Ski Club in their great efforts to get children into skiing and sports. Well done - @samsidiqi and team! ?? Children from various villages in Bamyan province get to learn skiing in a one-month ski school ? , while also being provided with food and means of transport to lower the burden for their families. They will be joined by many others for the next big Bamyan Ski Race Challenge beginning of March 2024. ?? ?? ? ? Access to sports should be a given, but it is often not. We are excited that we can contribute to allow these young male to experience opportunities through sport. Unfortunately, women and girls in Afghanistan are still prevented from doing any sports in Afghanistan. #afghansportstrust #opportunitythroughsport #afghanistan #equalrights

?? We are grateful for 2023 during which we could issue a dozen grants going out to courageous people having a big impact. Most grants went to groups within Afghanistan, and the majority of them involved females. It is a great relief to be able to support directly in the country again. ?? We can’t share all details but we keep being committed to helping Afghan athletes create opportunity through sport. And we couldn’t have done that without your help. Tashakor/thank you. ?? We want to do more in the coming year. And we’d love you to be involved. Financial contributions are really useful.
