Big news: Affirm is deepening its multi-year agreement with J.P. Morgan Payments ?? ?? What does this mean? The agreement will make our solutions available on the J.P. Morgan Payments Commerce Platform, enabling U.S. merchants to offer Affirm's pay-over-time plans to their customers at checkout. ?? Why does this matter? This will help deliver Affirm’s honest financial products to more merchants and their customers, giving businesses the tools to fuel growth while delivering maximum flexibility and transparency to more consumers. Here’s what Mike Lozanoff, Global Head of Merchant Services at J.P. Morgan Payments, said about the announcement: "The demand for diverse payment options, flexibility, and seamless transactions from both merchants and their customers is at an all-time high. ICYMI – Affirm’s Founder and CEO Max Levchin was on CNBC earlier today where he spoke with Jon Fortt and Morgan L Brennan about the key differences between Affirm and other players, including our ability to address a wide range of transactions with customizable payment terms, and how this approach delivers more value to consumers and merchants. Max said: “We are hearing great demand from merchants that continuously tell us. ‘We love that you guys are not focused on taking a number and dividing it by four. That’s easy, that’s what everyone does. Help us make things more affordable over 6 months, 12 months, 36 months.’” When discussing the state of the U.S. consumer, Max said that right now it’s more of a “vibecession” (h/t Kyla Scanlon).
