??PLAYER ANNOUNCEMENT?? Kicking off the week with more player introductions as we prepare for an exciting season ahead! Please join us in welcoming in these three players to AFC Omaha for 2025. All three bring with them a great amount of experience and skill to make a big impact during this MWPL season. We will be announcing our home venue and releasing our schedule in the coming days! So stay tuned for those announcements as well as the remaining player additions for 2025! K’Shaun Frazier Kshaun Frazier (Omaha, NE) - K’Shaun is a native of Omaha where he played for the SIMPLE Foundation and Sporting Nebraska’s ECNL team. K’Shaun joins us after finishing his first season at Rockhurst University, where he helped anchor the defense a a center back. K’Shaun is a player who brings a great mindset and work ethic to the club. His combination of intelligence, athleticism and ability to contribute both in attack and defending will have a major impact for our club. We are excited to have K’Shaun holding down our defense this season. Big things ahead K’Shaun! Octavio “Tavo” Miranda Jr.r (Omaha, Nebraska) - Tavo is another Omaha native and was a teammate of K’shaun’s at SIMPLE Foundation, Sporting Nebraska, as well as Rockhurst University. Tavo is a constant scoring threat with his athleticism, work rate, and prowess in the box. Whether it will be getting behind the back line, or combining up top, Tavo will have his part in many of our goal scoring opportunities this season. Could he be a Golden Boot candidate this season? We sure believe so! Jay Sangha (Wolverhampton, England) - Jay Sangha joins as from Wolverhampton, England via Mckendree Univeristy, where he helped lead the school to the 2024 NCAA Division II final four. Jay is an explosive midfielder with great vision for playing the quality attacking passes you expect of a midfielder, as well as the ability to score goals in and around the box. We are excited to strengthen our midfield with this impactful addition to our club. We are excited to have you with us Jay!

We have an action packed season ahead and we can’t wait fro you to experience it with us Omaha! Keep an eye out for more roster additions and our highly anticipated stadium announcement! Let’s make this a season to remember! Gabe O’Doherty (Omaha, NE) - Gabe is currently attending Ripon College where he is a mainstay at Center Back. Prior to attending Ripon, Gabe played for Nebraska FC and was am All-State and All Conference selection in High School. Gabe brings a very physical presence to our defense as well as the ability to distribute the ball anywhere on the field when in possession. We are very excited for Gabe to help anchor a very organized and stubborn defense this season. Welcome to the squad Gabe! Nhial Yor (Omaha, NE) - Nhial is currently attending Bellevue University, where they recently made the quarterfinals of the 2024 NAIA National tournament. Prior to college, Nhial played with Simple and was a standout at Central HS with multiple other AFC teammates. Nhial is a skilled winger with size, athleticism, and footwork that give him the ability to get to the end line for crosses as well as threaten in the box as a goal scorer. Nhial adds another strong attacking presence that will put relentless pressure on defenses this season. AFC Omaha is thrilled to have you Nhial! Alejandro Suarez (Sioux City, Iowa) - Alejandro is currently attending Upper Iowa University as a sophomore, contributing in multiple areas of the field. Prior to playing in college, Alejandro played for Nebraska FC as well as Sting FC. He made Nebraska State Cup Top 11, three years running and was selected All conference twice as well as HS State Cup All Tournament team. Alejandro will prove to be another threat in the attack that will make our goal scoring opportunities even more potent. Can’t wait for you to hit training camp Alejandro! ??PLAYER ANNOUNCEMENTS?? We are very excited to begin announcing more of our player additions for the 2025 @midwest_pl season! We have a very talented roster working hard and ready to take the field in May to bring their exciting, professional style of play to the Omaha community this summer! We have some more exciting news and player announcements ahead! Stay tuned! Sam Burmeister (Omaha, NE) - Sam is currently attending Cornell College where he won newcomer of the year as a freshman. Sam brings a physical and intense style to the midfield that we love to see. Coupled with his technical ability and game intelligence, Sam can play many versatile roles in the midfield. We are excited to see his impact on our organization this season! Bellion “Billie” Madut (Omaha, NE) - Billie is no stranger to winning, recently coming out of South High School, notorious for their state tournament runs. Billie attended southeast CC last fall under AFC assistant Coach Eli Brown. Billie’s physical and technical abilities make him an impact player and his work ethic in training is why his ceiling continues to rise with every bit of progress he makes. Opportunities will be plentiful as he makes his mark. This summer he gets to put all his hard work out there for the fans of Omaha to enjoy! Grant Adams (Omaha, NE) - Grant is currently finishing his first year at Midland Univeristy after a very successful freshman season at Central Christian where Grant played over 1000 minutes as a freshman. Prior to that Grant was an All-state and Nebraska Best 11 selection in high school. Grants speed, intelligence, technical skillsets, and overall versatility on the field will be a huge impact for our club. Please help us welcome in these talented players for our 2025 season in the MWPL Gateway Conference!!!

??PARTNERSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT?? We are extremely excited to announce this amazing partnership with Nebraska Speed and Soccer Institute as the exclusive Strength and Conditioning partner of AFC Omaha!!! We have always been at the forefront of promoting and providing as often as possible, valuable injury prevention and performance enhancement resources to our players throughout the season. This opportunity provides a great boost to our pre season plans and for our upcoming 2025 Midwest PL season. With 20 years in the strength and conditioning field, our Head Coach is no stranger to the importance of programs like the one at NSSI. Their experience with professional players like Union Omaha’s Aaron Gomez, will be of a tremendous benefit to our teams. We would like to introduce you to our Technical Director John Roode. He is pictured here in 1994, with former AFC Ajax U19/u21 head coach, youth academy director, manager of Galatasaray, and many other teams, Jan Olde Rieknerink. Jan was a guest of our Technical Director multiple times in Omaha in the 90’s along with Rob Baan, former Technical Director of the KNVB, other wise known as the Dutch Football Association. Rob also coached the Dutch national team for 2 years as well as at FC Twente, PSV, and Feyenoord. He recently served as the Technical Director of both the India and Australia National Team. Our Technical Director’s thirst for a deep knowledge of the game, and a desire to push his coaching limits to the fullest, lead him to spend many weeks within the Ajax Academy itself during the height of their success in the 90’s as well as weeks of mentorship at other great clubs such as Real Madrid. During the 1996 season he was an assistant on the Creighton University staff which lead them to their first final four appearance in school history, under Brett Simon. One of many achievements during his 40yrs as a coach. 30 of those as a USSF A licensed coach. The above coaches and our technical director’s mentorship experiences were an important spark towards the full development of our purpose for coaching, high level of training, system of play, and style of play. We have taken the foundation of football, and continued to evolve and progress with every new era that arises. 2025 will surely be no different as we are prepared to give our best effort yet. Be prepared for something special that’s been 40yrs in the making.

We finished up an action packed weekend of tryouts recently and our staff was thrilled with the talent that showed up! Omaha has so much to be proud of and this next generation of footballers will be no exception!

Please help us welcome Yoskar Galvan @yoskar175 , Fabian Agagah @fabianagagah and Spencer Walles @spencer_ssw to the squad for our 2025 @midwest_pl season. Yoskar Galvan-Mercado (Lexington, Nebraska) - Yoskar began his footballing in Lexington Nebraska where he excelled as a youth player. His success in the field earned him a spot with USL1 side, Union Omaha, where he played for 3 seasons, 2 of those under a professional contract. He is currently attending NAIA powerhouse Bellevue University and will be working hard to break back in to the professional ranks. Yoskar is an energetic midfielder with great vision and technique. He will be a strong example setter for our group of up and coming players, while looking to have a break out season in 2025. Vamos! Fabian Agagah (Omaha, Nebraska) - Fabian joins us after a successful season at D2 side Concord University, where they reached the second round of this year’s NCAA tournament. Prior to this season, he played at Southeast CC, with the Togo U17 national team and spent his club time as part of Sporting Nebraska’s ECNL squad. Fabian is a fierce competitor with a high motor and great defensive instincts. His ability to get forward in the attack and willingness to track back is a great fit for our club, where we expect to set the pace in work rate. We are excited to add another impact player to our club. Let’s Go! Spencer Siebe-Walles (Omaha, Nebraska) - Spencer joins us after his freshman season at Rocky Valley College, and a redshirt season an Iowa Western CC. Spencer played his club ball in Omaha as part of Sting FC and Sporting Nebraska’s NPL sides. Spencer @spencer_ssw is a tall and athletic center back with excellent ball striking skills. His work ethic, discipline, and natural abilities give him a high growth potential, which our environment is known for nurturing. Welcome Spencer!

Today we Welcome Hugo Meneguite and Samuel Montanez to the squad for our 2025 MWPL season. Please scroll below to learn more about both players and their experience. Both players bring a lot of experience and maturity our AFC organization. Please help us give them a warm welcome Omaha! Hugo Meneguite (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) - Hugo joins us after a successful season with Doane University, where he proved to be a threatening midfielder, making all region honorable mention. Prior to Doane, Hugo played at Northeast Community College, where he was the top goal scorer, made All Region first team, and was a Second team All-American. Hugo is a very technical player who keeps things clean in the midfield and always finds his way in to the box for scoring opportunities. We are excited to have his technical scoring prowess on our side. Vamos Hugo! Samuel Monta?ez (Barranquilla, Colombia) Samuel joins us from Doane Univeristy, where he was a teammate of Hugo’s. Samuel previously played at Allen CC where he was an NJCAA National Top 8 GK. In between College seasons he gained his semi-professional experience playing with Javier Velasco SA where he earned honors making UPSL northeast region honorable mention. Samuel is uniquely gifted with being a great GK in the traditional sense as well as when the ball is at his feet, as an additional field player. A trait we welcome greatly as we always want our GK to have the ability to be involved in the buildup. Qué Chévere Samuel!
