关于我们
AFCEA Central Maryland Chapter (AFCEA CMD) is a non-profit membership association dedicated to providing an ethical, interactive forum for sharing knowledge and building relationships across government, military, industry and academia. Our Chapter focuses primarily on enabling the intelligence missions of today and tomorrow through education and investment in talented people. We accomplish our goal by promoting the continuing education of current IT professionals, and supporting the education of future leaders in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Each year, proceeds from our corporate sponsors and Chapter events enable us to award over $200,000 to qualified students and teachers through direct scholarship, endowment or grant. The fastest growing and third largest chapter within AFCEA International, AFCEA CMD includes over 1800 professionals working in and around the Fort George G. Meade area.

The AFCEA CMD WIA team would like to extend our sincere thanks to Leidos?for sponsoring and hosting our recent annual flagship Women in AFCEA (WIA) CMD Women's Speaker Series Technical Focus event. It was a privilege to have NSA leader Jennifer Kron join us to lead a thought-provoking discussion on cloud migration. Her expertise and insight into the evolving landscape of compute options, the balance between value and cost, and the challenges and successes of migration made for an incredibly valuable session. Thank you, Jennifer, for sharing your knowledge with us. We appreciate everyone who attended and actively participated to make this such an engaging event. Finally, we would like to recognize our WIA CMD team for their efforts in bringing this event to life.??
