The Automatic Fire Alarm Association (AFAA) was formed in 1953 and is the only national trade association exclusively dedicated to representing the automatic fire detection and fire alarm systems industry. The membership is made up of all segments of the industry: (manufacturers, distributors, state/regional associations, users, AHJs engineers, etc). The New England chapter supports the following states: Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island.

Why we have 2 steering wheels? The Engineer handles the front of the truck, and the Tillerman handles the rear of the truck. A tiller truck is over 60 feet long and can make any turn a suburban can make if done right. These trucks are great in big city environments where we get through sharp turns, corners, alleys, ect. Extremely versatile tool in the Fire Service.
