Johnny Galbert, 90th Missile Wing commander. "The hard work and effort that goes into operating, maintaining, and securing this weapon system was on full display at Vandenberg SFB. The men and women of the Mighty Ninety are extremely proud of this critical mission.” This successful test the unwavering commitment of the 90th Missile Wing to maintaining a safe, secure, and effective nuclear deterrent. ?? Logistics in Action: 309th AMARG ?? This week, we witnessed supply chain logistics at its finest—regeneration, reclamation, and sustainment operations at the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group (AMARG) at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Tucson, Arizona. These mission-critical activities are essential to maintaining a lethal and ready Air Force. Known as the legendary “Boneyard,” AMARG currently stores more than 3,350 aircraft and executes five key missions: ? Storage – Preserving aircraft for future use ?? Reclamation – Harvesting parts to sustain active fleets ?? Regeneration – Restoring aircraft to operational status ?? Depot-Level Maintenance – Performing deep structural repairs ? Disposal – Managing aircraft at the end of their lifecycle AMARG also leads game-changing sustainment efforts, including: ? F-16 Programmed Structural Sustainment and Repair (PSSR) – Extending the lifespan of F-16s ? B-1B Regeneration – Restoring two B-1B bombers after three years in storage to support Global Strike Command’s operational requirements AMARG exemplifies how logistics drive readiness, ensuring aircraft remain combat-capable and mission-ready when called upon. #AirForceReadiness #LogisticsExcellence #MissionReady
