Just getting back from a whirlwind trip to Kuwait ???? , where ?? Wil Benton, Matt Briggs, Stephanie Shaar and I had the opportunity to host an event at the National Library announcing the opening of applications for the Kuwait Digital Startup Campus (KDSC) Pre-Accelerator. Over 95 aspiring entrepreneurs attended the event to learn more about the programme. This programme is designed to equip aspiring Kuwaiti entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds with the skills and knowledge to bring their business ideas to life. ? A joint initiative between the Kuwait Youth Public Authority (YPA) and Boeing, KDSC is all about strengthening Kuwait’s local entrepreneurship ecosystem and supporting the development of a thriving digital economy. It was also a great chance to connect with our partners on the ground. ?? Wrapping up a busy week on the ground in #Singapore ???? with Gabriella G. Hernandez from the Aerospace Xelerated team, connecting with partners and industry stakeholders, and taking part in the Aviation Festival Asia. This trip′s been a great opportunity to engage with startups, corporates, and government representatives from across the region—exploring new partnerships and deepening our connection with the wider #aviation ecosystem. I had the opportunity to take part in thought-provoking discussions, alongside Mohamad Hafidz Fadzil (AirAsia), Javid Jaffer (Emirates), Chandrashekar Sreenivas (Bangalore International Airport Ltd), and Sebastian Zeitler (INFORM GmbH - Optimization Software) about the importance of innovation and collaboration in areas like ground ops and the increasing role of AI. I also had the honour of hosting the startup competition- a showcase of some of the up and coming aviation innovators. Huge congratulations to all the startups that took part!? One of the strongest themes throughout the trip? Net zero aviation ?? . The progress made so far is promising, but achieving the industry’s ambitious goals will require even deeper collaboration and bold innovation. This is something we at Aerospace Xelerated are committed to- having backed startups like NABLA Mobility Inc. and Phycobloom. Looking ahead, we’re doubling down on supporting sustainable aviation innovation. The energy in the region around #SAFs, sustainable aviation solutions, and #decarbonisation strategies is exciting. Can’t wait to share more soon about how we’ll be supporting these efforts through our accelerator and innovation programmes- watch this space? Another highlight? Seeing so many women♀? leading the charge in aviation. It was fantastic to connect with Suzanna Chiu (Amadeus), Michelle Low (Women in Aviation International Singapore Chapter, Boeing), and the team at Singaporean startup Nandina REM, who are working on exciting circular economy aviation solutions. The industry benefits from diversity and it’s great to see more women shaping the industry. Lastly, it was great to catch up in person with Krishnan Narayanan (SkiesFifty), Goh See Ting (Boeing), and Peter McLean (dnata), amongst many others. Thank you, Singapore!
