Our 6th Annual AeroStar Aviation Day Sponsored by Boeing and the BGE team was a HUGE success!! Thank you Bernice Billups, our Grant Liasion LaKendric G. Williams, MBA and a slew of Boeing volunteers. Big thanks to our host The Aviation Institute of Maintenance Chicago Campus led by Isaac Walters and Ben Clark! Thank you Dr. Joel English for your leadership and support. We had over 150 Chicago and Gary Indiana 5-12th graders engaged in hands-on aircraft maintenance activities. American Airlines mechanic Lawrence Waiters showed up to share career info and Team AeroStar showed up and rocked the hangar!!! ?????? Congratulations to our 2024 Boeing Scholarship winner Joshua Carney who has been in AeroStars program since his freshman year. This 4-year AeroStar has selected Southern Illinois University, Carbondale to pursue Aviation!
